honestly, the cold calling doesn’t bother me that much, but the money is in the follow-up (that’s what i’m told at least). that’s where it gets a little more difficult because you’ve got to be organized and have a system for following up with the contacts you made when cold calling. weekly email is good, but you also need the occasional text,…[Read more]

    • Dude!, My Brother, just keep the faith!!! And like Ricky says keep going!!! I know what you mean though… Um just out of curiosity, how old are you, have you worked anything besides RE? and last where you located and how long have you been doing this? I’m 56, and I think I mentioned I was a Contractor in NJ… I’ve got to say, as hard as this is,…[Read more]

  • Does anybody have a FSBO conversion timeline or checklist or something like that? I understand it’s going to take multiple touches to get the listing, so I’m looking for something like (1) preview home (2) provide items of value (3) follow up with CMA (4) follow up with (whatever).I figure I’m good through a few weeks. Make the call, ask to…[Read more]

    • I thought of this too. In a lot of videos they show/tell about giving the listing presentation and yet everyone says the money is in the follow up. This is a relationship business, now might not be the best time for them to sell or hell they might know enough to sell on their own we don’t know and that’s why we build a relationship with them. If…[Read more]

I’m about to get on that 60 day. I’ve been cold calling for a couple of weeks now but I want to make sure I have some structure to it

    • Hey Aaron, nice to meet you! How do you like the Cold Calling? I don’t mind it at all, I was a contractor here in NJ. for 32 years! I got into RE Sales in 2011 for about 18 mo. went back to contracting then I got relicensed beginning of 22. That’s awesome, did you get started? How long have you been in Real Estate? Where are you located?

  • Started REDX cold calling today and was kind of surprised at the number of people that didn’t pick up (no voicemail) and wrong numbers. I got a free trial of the dialer, but I’m not sure I like it. There seems to be a lag between when I talk and the other person hears me, so we end up talking over each other. Has anyone else experienced this?…[Read more]

I just started RedX and figured there would be a map or satellite feature. The agent I talked to acted like it was never a thing, but it sounds like it’s something they had that they took away. I wonder why. An aerial view would be really helpful.

    • Hi Aaron, yes I used it a lot. The satellite view helped to determine boundaries for neighborhoods and mobile home parks. When I talked to support, they made it seem as though it wasn’t a feature people used.
To help get it turned back on, please tell RedX support that you need that feature.

This was my first day making REDX calls and I was surprised at how few people picked up the phone. It wasn’t terrible I guess. I got 2 email addresses out of roughly 50 calls (they were both call-backs from voicemails). The number of ‘wrong numbers’ was a little shocking, but I guess that’s what you get with cell phones. Do you call DNC…[Read more]
