As I’m starting I’ve realized I sound so scripted and robotic. How can I overcome this?

Start to act like every person you speak to is your absolute best friend.

So many years in customer service etiquette I have to unlearn. 😅 But I agree it does boil down to speaking to a friend.

Six months in as real estate agent, I’ve found that I’ve naturally progressed from reading the script, focusing on each word and repeating the same sentences over and over, to making my own personal script, and adding different takes here and there when I feel the conversation calls for it.
