So discouraged. I am focusing on referrals right now because of some family medical issues. in 10 days, I dot 2 referrals (YAY!). Then one of my referrals up and went with a different agent after she was already working through my agent. $1,500 for my family lost. I know I need to get thicker skin; but I don’t have it yet. We’re living off our credit cards right now, since my husband lost his job due to covid, and we’re staring down the barrel of around $23K of debt -with my husband trying to build a business so he doesn’t need to rely on an organization’s stability and no other income at this time. Starting on cold calling today and of course fumbling through because I’m new. Now I need to get my head out of this funk and get back in the game.
That is tough. I’ve been in somewhat of the same spot and it can be frustrating, scary, and nerve wracking. Keep your head up and keep moving forward with the mindset that it will get better. Best of luck to you, I how tough that position can be.
You’re not alone! A lot of weight on your shoulders with no relief in sight. Just gotta stick your nose to the grindstone, make those calls, rinse, and repeat.
