    @gjohnson Hey Grace I have only been in real estate one year and I am still letting fear of the phone hold me back some. Are you strong in that area? Ugggg… I am mentally strong, I am just struggling with this unfortunally.

    • Well, I’m not new to real estate but I’m new to TN only been here 6 months. I was in DE selling for 14 years but got my broker license opened an office there and was invited to get a license here and open an office here as well. I relocated in July last year to do so. 
      As far as calling people I don’t mind it at all. Honestly in DE I restarted when I found Ricky 5 years ago and it completely changed my mind about how to go about dealing with people. So to answer your question yes I’ve gotten very good at the phone calls and will be starting them here next week. Have you tried to do them and what’s been your experience so far?

      • I have done them when I first started for one week. I got two listings out of it and then got busy and never got back to it. I closed 15 deals last year without getting on the phone but mostly due to referrals and Opcity. This year my goal is to get on the phone more. I am doing the 60 day challenge but finding I am giving every excuse to “get on the phone later”. Uggg…. I did it today but got mostly voice mails. I talked to 5 people and for me, that is huge. Maybe I can build on this. Uggggg…. I want to get through the fear stage.

        • I hear ya! I think there is always a small amount of fear but it’s because we hate rejection. But that’s awesome……..you know the system works because you got real business from it. It’s more so about the consistency. Motivation from your why to not care how many mean people we speak to. lol I did find out how miserable people are but those are the people I don’t want to work with anyway.
